Useful beats impressive.
If a simpler idea solves the problem better, we take the simpler idea.
MadeByNeon is an independent product studio in Singapore, building small digital and physical products around one question: can this make everyday life a little easier?
Why we exist
Some annoyances are too small for anyone to build a giant company around — but they still happen every single day.
What should we eat? When should I leave? Why do I need five apps for something that should take one sentence? These tiny bits of friction steal attention, time and energy.
MadeByNeon exists to make focused things that remove a little of that friction. Sometimes that means an app. Sometimes it might mean a physical product. Sometimes the right answer is simply not to build it.
What we believe
We like clever technology. We just don't think cleverness is the product. The thing still has to make someone's day easier.
If a simpler idea solves the problem better, we take the simpler idea.
Features earn their place. More buttons, dashboards and complexity are not automatically progress.
That's the filter. If the product creates more work than the annoyance it fixes, we have missed the point.
How we build
We would rather put a focused first version into real life, learn what people actually need, and improve it than spend years polishing assumptions.
What “Neon” means here
Our neon isn't decoration. It marks action, life and purpose — the same reason the dot sits at the centre of our logo.
The question we keep asking
If the answer keeps becoming yes, we keep building. If not, it goes back to the Lab — or disappears entirely.

We also collaborate on commercial apps, digital products and practical product ideas when the problem fits the way we like to build: focused, useful and simple enough to test in the real world.
You don't need a finished brief. If you have a problem worth solving, an early idea, or something existing that could work better, write to us and we can discuss it.
